As Vice-Chair of the Budget Committee, Ryan led the effort to reduce the tax rate by 2.7%, crafted a budget that earned bi-partisan support & prioritized community investments while holding the line on spending.

EMS Support

  • $2 million investment in supplemental EMS services
  • Addressing NY State’s EMS crisis with local solutions
  • 58 emergency dispatches in the first week alone
  • Better response times & life-saving coverage

Fly Car Grants

  • $200,000 in grants for local fire & EMS providers
  • Upgraded life-saving equipment, including AEDs
  • Direct impact: LaGrange Fire District received $5,700 for an AED

Fighting Crime & Drug Epidemic

  • Investing in the Drug Task Force – overdose deaths down 50% in 2024
  • $50,000 to target large-scale dealers
  • New full-time investigator position to strengthen enforcement
  • Additional funding for critical equipment in February

Real Time Crime Center

  • $200,000 to launch high-tech crime response system
  • Enhancing law enforcement with data-driven analytics
  • Investing in radio communication, cameras & hardware
